Naked Princess Shine Luscious Lip Gloss – Review July 8, 2012

Today I bring you the Naked Princess Shine Luscious Lip Glosses that I received in the May Look Bag. There were four of these mini glosses in 4 nice and neutral colors.  Each has a tiny doe foot applicator

The glosses are glossy but only a tiny bit stickey and felt very moisturizing. The colors looked gorgeous on my lips too.

I really did enjoy these glosses.

Would I buy this product again? I’m not sure. The full size glosses are similar in price to Urban Decay and Stila glosses which I think I like more.

Will I finish this sample? Yes the glosses are definitely nice enough to keep using.

Here’s the breakdown:
Sample Size: 0.008 oz
Full Size: 0.1 oz
Full Size Price:  $26.00
Sample Value: $2.08

The New Black Runway Colors – Midnight Blue and Yellow (Electrical Banana)

Today I bring you “The New Black” nail polishes that I received in my May Look Bag.  The New Black is a relatively new-ish brand that brings runway fashion to you at an accessible cost. The two I was sent (Midnight Blue and Electrical Banana) were from the “Color Barometer” set which contains 8 primary colors (one is more a nude) each at 0.125 oz. They also have glitter, ombre, and newspaper print sets.

I decided to try a manicure I had completely failed at in the past, the half moon.  As you can see I still basically failed – but it is better than before and gives you a good idea of the colors of the polish.  The blue is NEARLY opaque in 1 coat and the yellow takes two coats. This lasted my normal 2 days (always remember I am SUPER rough on my nails) which puts it up there with Zoya, Opi, and Butter London.

Would I buy this product again? Yes, I am really considering getting the newsprint set so I can learn how to do that manicure with products specifically made for it before I go experimenting and getting annoyed at bad results.

Will I finish the sample? Yes, the colors are fun and very on trend right now.

Here’s the breakdown:

Sample Size: 0.25 oz (2 x 0.125)
Full Size: 1.0 oz (8 x 0.125)
Full Size Price:  $35.00
Sample Value: $8.75

StriVectin SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks Wrinkles

Today I bring you the StriVectin Concentrate for Stretch marks and Wrinkles that I received in my May Beauty Bar Sample Society Box.  It is medium-thick cream that is supposed to help reverse the visibility of stretch marks in 2 to 8 weeks.

I have some of these evil lines so I figured I’d pick one small area and apply the cream generously to that one area – that way I’d have enough for at least a few weeks to see if it actually worked.

There is no such thing as magic when it comes to beauty routines, but this comes darn close; after about a month my stretch marks had reduced a bunch, not gone but certainly not as obvious as the untreated areas. At $135 per bottle, though, it is not something I will hurry out and purchase – the marks just don’t bother me enough and aren’t in places you’d see unless we were at the beach.

Would I buy the product again? Yes, if I had spare money and was planning a warm weather vacation and had lost the weight I want to lose then I would probably get it.

Will I finish the sample? Absolutely.

Here’s the breakdown:

Sample Size:   0.75 oz
Full Size: 5.0 oz
Full Size Price: $135.00
Sample Value: $20.25
