Even though it is Wednesday for everyone else it is my Monday.  I’m done with my trip to St. Louis. It was fun but too hot!!!! I don’t know how people can bear that heat. I live in Seattle, so 85 is sweltering – 105 feels like an inferno – a humid inferno. Luckily I had used my urban decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion so my makeup stayed nice all day long – at least on my eyes.

Today I’ll review the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Palette. I got this palette the first time I ever went to Sephora. I never really wore bright colors but this one was just so amazing I had to try the colors.

The palette is a nice black box with an amazing foil and velvet design on the front. Upon opening it you will find a generous sized mirror and 10 0.03 oz shadows (their full-sized shadows are 0.05 oz) It also comes with a sponge brush, which as usual instantly went into the garbage.

To achieve the above look I put Sin all over then Grifter on my lid. on the outside edge of my lid and in my crease I applied Last call and a TINY bit of Oil Slick at the edge of the eye. Just under the brow and in the interior of my eye I used some polyester bride. I used Shattered on my lower lash line.  I topped the look off with Tarte  emphasEYES™ Amazonian clay waterproof liner in Black and Dior Waterproof mascara.

About the Palette:

The palette has 10 colors

  • Smog – a copper shimmer
  •  Maui Wowie – a shimmer
  • Mildew – a medium khaki green shimmer
  • Shattered – a sky blue shimmer
  • Oil Slick – a pitch black shimmer
  • Polyester Bride – a nearly pure white shimmer
  • Last Call – a dark mauve shimmer
  • Grifter – a lilac shimmer
  • Chopper – a pinkish copper shimmer
  • Sin – a beige shimmer

As far as I can tell they all have about the same consistency which is nice and smooth. The shimmer is not TOO shimmery but still enough for some light reflections. The color payoff is medium, but can be layered. It is easily blended.

I believe this is a great palette if you want to dabble in some color since there are still 4 nice neutrals incase you get scared and retreat!

This palette is available from Sephora for $38.00. and from Urban Decay for $38.00
